Inspired by the concept of challenging the stereotypes associated with ageing, specialist communication company Evergreen Advertising and Marketing developed the event for the public to positively address the way older people are portrayed in society.

Evergreen Faces provided the opportunity for people in the community to capture images of positive ageing with their cameras.

With hundreds of entries from throughout Australia, judges had a tough job narrowing it down to the 24 finalists and of course picking the winners.

You also had the tough job to pick your favourite in the Telstra Connected Seniors People's Choice Award.

Here are the 2009 winners and People's Choice.
